How to Access Your Email Using Webmail

Webmail allows you to send, receive, and manage email directly through a web browser without installing or configuring an email application.

If your Electron Websites hosting account includes email services, you can access your mailbox from virtually any computer, tablet, or smartphone with an internet connection.

Step 1: Open Your Webmail Login Page

Open your preferred web browser, such as Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.

Enter your domain's webmail address in the browser's address bar.

For example, if your domain is example.com, your webmail address may be:

https://webmail.example.com/

Replace example.com with your own domain name.

Note: Your webmail address must be configured for your domain. If the address above does not work, refer to your hosting account information or contact Electron Websites Support for the correct webmail URL.

Step 2: Sign In to Your Email Account

When the webmail login page appears, enter your email credentials.

  • Username: Your complete email address, such as john@example.com.
  • Password: The password assigned to your email account.

Click Login or Sign In to access your mailbox.

Important: Your email password may be different from the password used to access your Electron Websites Client Portal or hosting control panel.

If you have forgotten your email password, you may be able to reset it through your hosting control panel. Otherwise, contact Electron Websites Support for assistance.

Step 3: Explore Your Webmail Interface

Electron Websites hosting accounts typically use Roundcube for webmail access.

Roundcube provides a familiar email interface with features similar to desktop email applications.

After signing in, you will generally find the following folders and features:

  • Inbox: Displays incoming email messages.
  • Drafts: Stores messages you have started but have not sent.
  • Sent: Contains copies of messages you have sent.
  • Junk: Holds messages identified as potential spam.
  • Trash: Contains messages you have deleted.
  • Contacts: Allows you to maintain an address book.

The appearance and available features may vary depending on the version of Roundcube installed on the server.

Step 4: Read and Reply to Email

To read a message, select it from your Inbox.

To respond to a message:

  1. Open the message you want to answer.
  2. Click Reply to respond to the sender, or Reply All to respond to everyone included in the conversation.
  3. Enter your response.
  4. Click Send.

You can also use Forward to send a received message to another person.

Step 5: Compose a New Email

To create a new message:

  1. Click Compose.
  2. Enter the recipient's email address in the To field.
  3. Enter a descriptive subject in the Subject field.
  4. Type your message.
  5. If necessary, use the attachment option to include files or documents.
  6. Click Send.

You can send messages to multiple recipients by entering additional addresses in the appropriate fields.

Tip: Before sending an email with attachments, verify that the correct files are attached and that the total message size is within your email account's permitted limits.

Step 6: Manage Your Email

Roundcube provides several tools for organizing your mailbox.

Organize Messages into Folders

You can create additional folders to organize messages by project, customer, or subject.

Search for Messages

Use the search feature to locate messages by sender, subject, or other available criteria.

Manage Contacts

Save frequently used email addresses in your Contacts list for easier access when composing messages.

Delete Unwanted Messages

Move messages you no longer need to the Trash folder.

Periodically review your Junk and Trash folders, as messages stored in these folders may continue to count toward your mailbox storage limit.

Step 7: Log Out When Finished

When you have finished using webmail, select Logout to securely end your session.

This is especially important when using a shared or public computer.

Avoid saving your email password on devices that you do not personally control.

Missing Email Messages

If a message does not appear in your Inbox, check your Junk, Trash, and other folders.

You can also use Roundcube's search feature to locate messages.

Using Email on Your Computer or Smartphone

Webmail is a convenient way to access your email, but you can also configure your mailbox in applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, and other email clients.

These applications typically connect to your mailbox using IMAP for incoming messages and SMTP for outgoing messages.

Your email application will require the appropriate server names, ports, security settings, and login credentials.

For assistance configuring an email application, contact Electron Websites Support.
